Things to do near the campground

Bike trails (road cycling, mountain biking and fat biking)

There are many cycling routes to discover nearby. Whether you enjoy road cycling, mountain biking, forest trails or simply a ride around the campground, we can provide all the information you need at reception.

The city of Shawinigan has more than 100 km of cycling routes. Whether you are an avid cyclist or an occasional rider, these routes take you through urban and rural settings where culture and heritage meet.

Ask at reception about bike rentals and a map of the routes!

For mountain biking enthusiasts, we are located 700 metres from Mont SM, which has excellent mountain bike trails. The Parc récréoforestier de Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc also has maintained mountain bike trails.

Hiking trails

Directly behind the campground is a 5 km crushed-stone trail through the forest, crossed by woodland paths.

The Parc récréoforestier de Saint-Mathieu-du-Parc offers several forest hikes for all difficulty levels.

Beautiful La Mauricie National Park is also close to the campground and offers breathtaking scenery.

In Shawinigan, there are also Parc des Centenaires, Rapide des Hêtres and Parc des Chutes de Shawinigan, all within 10 to 15 km of Camping Du Parc.

Then there are the National Trails, including the Chute du Diable, Le Trappeur and Rolland-Leclerc trails. For more information, visit the following websites:
